Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Legal Case Analyst (legalcaseanalyst.com) is operated by TKJ Global Media Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 08272919), which is the data controller for the personal data described here. Privacy contact: hello@legalcaseanalyst.com.

In plain language: we’re a UK company. This page explains what information we handle, why, and what your rights are. Email us about any of it.

2. Information we collect

You provide directly:

  • Order and billing details: name, email address, billing country (through our WooCommerce store).
  • Payment: handled by WooPayments (a Stripe-powered service). Card details go to them, not us — we never see or store your card number.
  • The document you upload for analysis. Your document may contain personal data about you or other people; you are responsible for having the right to upload it (see our Terms, section 7).
  • Emails you send us.

Created while we serve you:

  • A fulfilment record for your order: order number, your email, a secure upload token, and status timestamps. It contains no document content.
  • Anonymous technical telemetry about our AI usage (token counts and computing costs). It contains no document content and no personal data.

Collected automatically:

  • Essential cookies for the store to function (basket, checkout, login session). We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or social media tracking.
  • Standard web-server logs held briefly by our host.

In plain language: we collect what any online shop needs (who you are and what you ordered), plus the document you send us for analysis. We don’t watch you around the web, and your card number never touches our systems.

3. How we use your information

Data Purpose Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR)
Order and billing details Take payment, deliver your report, provide support, meet tax obligations Contract; legal obligation
Your uploaded document Produce your analysis report — nothing else Contract
Fulfilment record Operate the secure upload link; handle disputes and refunds Contract; legitimate interests
Emails Answer you Legitimate interests

We do not sell personal data, share it for advertising, or use your documents to train AI models.

In plain language: we use your information to do the job you paid for, and for nothing else.

4. Who processes data for us

We name every service that touches your data:

  • 20i Ltd (UK) — website hosting and our email service.
  • WordPress/WooCommerce — our store software, running on that hosting.
  • WooPayments / Stripe — payment processing.
  • Anthropic — the AI provider that processes your uploaded document to generate the analysis. Processing occurs via Anthropic’s API, which does not use submitted content to train its models. Anthropic processes data in the United States; this transfer is safeguarded by contractual protections designed to meet UK/EU requirements (standard contractual clauses).
  • Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts — deliver the typefaces on this website; your browser requests font files from their servers, which reveals your IP address to Google/Adobe respectively.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it (for example, to HMRC or under a court order).

In plain language: your document goes to one AI provider to produce your report, under contract terms that forbid using it for training. Payments go through Stripe’s system. The fonts on this site load from Google and Adobe, which is a normal web thing but does mean they see your IP.

5. Cookies

We use only cookies necessary for the site and store to function (basket, checkout, and login for account holders). No advertising or analytics cookies are set. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

6. How long we keep things

Data Retention
Your uploaded document and the analysis Deleted automatically after your report is delivered — we cannot re-send it afterwards, so keep your copy
Order and payment records 6 years plus the current year (UK tax law)
Fulfilment records (no content) Up to 24 months, for disputes and support
Emails Up to 24 months
AI usage telemetry (no personal data) Kept as aggregate operational data

In plain language: the document you send us is deleted as soon as your report is delivered — that’s a promise in our Terms, and it’s automated. Order records stay longer because tax law says so.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live you can ask us to: access the data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to our use of it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Email hello@legalcaseanalyst.com — we respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with our answer you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct it, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, so there is nothing to opt out of. Requests: hello@legalcaseanalyst.com; we verify requests via your order email and respond within 45 days.

Australia and Canada: we handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles and PIPEDA; the rights and contact route above apply.

In plain language: you can see, fix, or delete what we hold about you. One email does it. We answer within a month, and there’s a regulator to escalate to if we let you down.

8. Children

The Service is for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s data; if you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the data.

9. Security

Traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Uploaded documents exist in our systems only for the minutes your analysis takes and are deleted after delivery. Access to order systems is restricted and credential-protected. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant regulator without undue delay and within 72 hours where the law requires.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date changes when we do, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
