Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

The short version

Browsing this website sets no cookies at all. Cookies appear only when you add a report to your basket or check out — and every one of them is strictly necessary to make your purchase work. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no tracking pixels, which is why you don’t see a cookie consent banner: under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the GDPR, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent, and we set nothing else.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Most sites use them for everything from remembering your basket to tracking you across the internet for advertising. We only do the first kind.

The cookies we actually set

Verified by direct inspection of this website:

While you browse (homepage, pricing, blog, any page):

Cookie Purpose
— none — Anonymous browsing sets no cookies

When you add a report to your basket or check out (strictly necessary — the shop cannot function without them):

Cookie Set by Purpose Lifetime
woocommerce_cart_hash Us (WooCommerce) Knows your basket has contents Session
woocommerce_items_in_cart Us (WooCommerce) Counts basket items Session
wp_woocommerce_session_* Us (WooCommerce) Keeps your basket linked to your browser ~2 days
wordpress_test_cookie Us (WordPress) Checks your browser accepts cookies at checkout Session
__stripe_mid / __stripe_sid Stripe (via WooPayments) Fraud prevention during payment — protects you and us from card abuse ~1 year / ~30 min

If you create an account or log in (only relevant to account holders): standard WordPress login cookies (wordpress_logged_in_, wordpress_sec_, wp-settings-*) that keep you signed in securely.

What we do NOT use

  • No Google Analytics or any other analytics cookies.
  • No Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok or any advertising/retargeting cookies.
  • No social media tracking buttons.
  • No cross-site tracking of any kind.

The typefaces on this site load from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts; font delivery involves your IP address (covered in our Privacy Policy) but is not a cookie.

Your choices

Because we only set strictly necessary cookies, there is no consent to manage — there is nothing optional to switch off. You can still control or delete cookies in your browser (Settings → Privacy in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge); blocking them entirely will prevent the basket and checkout from working, but reading everything on this site works fine with cookies fully blocked.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA/CPRA defines those terms, and we set no cookies that would do so, so no “Do Not Sell” opt-out is required.

Our commitment about the future

If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookies, we will first deploy a genuine opt-in consent banner (nothing pre-ticked, reject as easy as accept), update the inventory above, and change the “Last updated” date. Until you see a banner, the clean audit above stands.

Third parties

The only third party that may set cookies through this site is Stripe, during checkout, for fraud prevention: Stripe’s privacy policy.
